Gautham
Menon's Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru seems to have got a new lease of
life with Telugu actor Mahesh Babu stepping into the shoes of
Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The director has announced that he has
revived the project and would like to work with the Tollywood
star in the trilingual film.
The filmmaker has claimed that he approached Mahesh Babu
recently and discussed about Yohan. The actor was impressed by
the storyline and gave his nod to work on the project. The film
will be made in three languages - Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Gautham Menon further adds that Mahesh Babu
was supposed to work in a different project with him earlier but
it did not materialise for some reasons. They would be starting
Yohan once they complete their pending films and the finer
details are being worked out.
According to Gautham Menon, Vijay opted out because the actor
had doubts over the Westernised outlook of Yohan and he felt
that his fans may not like it. Though he had liked the script,
Ilayathalapathy wanted the script to be changed to suit the
tastes of the local audience.
But it did not work well. Hence, they decided to part ways.
However, the Kaakha Kaakha director has now decided to change
the title of the film. |
