 The
audio-launch of ‘Ulagayanagan’ Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film
Viswaroopam which was to be held on 7th November stands
postponed now. The new date for the audio-launch would be
announced soon.
The plan was to make the audio-launch coincide with the Kamal’s
birthday which falls this Wednesday.
Kamal Haasan has produced and directed Viswaroopam besides
playing the hero in it.With Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jermaiah the
lead, the film has music by the trio of Shankar Mahadevan,
Ehsaan and Loy and lyrics penned by Vairamuthu.
The function was to be held in three different
cities including Chennai. Kamal was to fly to all the cities
using a helicopter. The event would have been a
first-of-its-kind if the original schedule had been adhered to
by the organizers. However, the record might have to wait for
some more time as the music release has been postponed by a
couple of weeks due to ‘inexplicable’ reasons.
Queries with the film’s Unit revealed that instead of the
earlier plan to keep the audio-launch as a simple affair, it is
now felt that a ‘big film’ such as Viswaroopam ought to have its
music released in a grand manner and on a grand manner befitting
its pre-release expectations among movie-goers in general and
Kamal’s fans in particular. Work is a foot for a grand function,
the date and venue for which would be intimated later.
Readers might recall that the film was watched by the Censor
Board recently which awarded ‘U/A’ certification to the Tamil
